How to provide students with a humanities education that is accessible to everyone.
The Hill’s list of 10 things to know about the humanities education.
The Hill aims to be an independent resource that students and their families can use to learn about the world around them, as well as provide tips on how to make the most of your university experience.
The list is divided into four sections.
The first is a guide to what students can expect from an academic curriculum that emphasizes hands-on learning and engagement with the social and cultural contexts of their community.
This section covers curriculum elements that students should know and prepare for as they enter their senior year.
Then, the second section provides students with information about what makes for a well-rounded and successful humanities education, including the difference between a humanities degree and a professional degree, what to expect when studying abroad and the role of social science research in the university curriculum.
Lastly, the third section covers a number of resources for students to use to explore their own learning and explore their community through the humanities.
To make the best use of the information and resources offered, students should also consider the availability of these resources at the time of admission.
