News Corp Australia has reported that the Australian Humane Education Camp has opened in Brisbane, with students learning to build robots to assist in animal welfare and education.
The camp is run by the Animal Welfare Society Queensland and aims to provide opportunities for young students to learn to build humanoid robots.
Students from all over Queensland will be able to learn from the company and work on their own robots.
“Our students will be working with the robots, they’ll be building their own designs and learning how to make them,” said a spokesperson for the Animal Health Foundation Queensland.
“They’ll be learning about the laws and regulations, and how to work with the people around them.
They’ll also be learning how the technology will be used by animal welfare organisations in Queensland.”
The camp is open from November 1 to March 30, 2018.
